It simply manages, organizes, and secures your novels. And we've thrown in a few nice features
to help you along your way.
The user interface is divided into three main sections. The left pane lists all the novels you have created.
Want to open a novel? Simply double-click it. The novel and all of its chapters are instantly ready for you.
With The Writer's Novel, you no longer have to hunt around your computer to find a novel and no more
figuring out where and how to store one.
The middle pane shows general information about your novel, such as when you started it,
your goal finish date, and the number of words you'd like to write. With this information, several
statistics are calculated for you automatically, such as the number of words you need to write
each day.
The right pane is where you work on chapters. To allow you to write without any distractions,
you can collapse unneeded panes. You're left with just the chapters you're working on.
This is also great if you have a laptop or small monitor.
Your entire screen can be devoted to a single chapter.
When you're done working on your novel, you can export it to a text file and then import it into your
favorite word processor for final formatting before sending it on to a publisher.
If you're participating in a writing event such as NaNoWriMo, we've included a neat feature that exports
your novel and scrambles it with one click of a button. We've monitored the forums during NaNoWriMo and
this is a frequently asked question. Many people aren't sure how to accomplish this. No need to worry about
this anymore!
Monitoring your progress is also a concern when trying to write 50,000 words in 30 days. The Writer's Novel
takes care of this for you automatically! Enter a start date, end date, and the number of words you'd like to
write, and the number of words you need to write each day is calculated and displayed for you. Your daily
goal is recalculated each day.
This application also keeps track of the number of words you've written today.
