The Writer's Novel 2.0
The Writer's Novel 2.0 is a software application that allows you to easily create
novels and chapters. To help you complete your novel on time, it automatically
calculates the number of words you need to write each day, keeps track
of the number of words written, and calculates the number of words
remaining. These features were inspired by
NaNoWriMo,
an event that takes place
each November where the goal is to write 50,000 words in one month. The Writer's Novel
calculates everything for you automatically, manages and organizes your work, and
lets you focus on writing.
New Features in 2.0:
- Spell Check - As-you-type spell checking turns good writing great!
- Rich Text Formatting - Bold, underline, italic, font selection, and more give you all the word processing functionality you'll need to write a novel.
- Auto-Save/Auto-Recovery - An incredible feature that's there for you when the unexpected happens, minimizing the amount of writing you may lose.
- Dictionary/Thesaurus - With an Internet connection, you can right-click on a word and bring up its definitions and synonyms.
- Zoom - Sometimes viewing your chapter differently can get you past that dreaded writer's block. This feature can also be used to provide a level of privacy by making your text incredibly large or incredibly small.
- Chapter Playback - Now you can listen to your chapters with the click of a button! A truly unique and fun feature that is bound to improve your writing, or at least your use of commas :)

- Words Written - The total number of words in your novel.
- Words Remaining - The number of words remaining until you reach your word count goal.
- Days Remaining - The number of days remaining until your deadline is reached.
- Today's Statistics -
- Today's Goal - The number of words you need to write today to stay on track.
- Words Written - The number of words you've written today.
- Words Remaining - The number of words you need to write before your daily goal is reached. A simple calculation that is fun to see reach zero!
- Scrambling - One click of a button and your novel is exported to a text file in a scrambled format. Perfect for submitting your novel for that official NaNoWriMo word count!
- Exporting - Export your novel to a text file, which can then be opened in your favorite word processing software.
- Printing - Allows you to easily print your novel and chapters.
- Searching - Search through your novels and chapters for keywords.
- Security - If you choose, secure your work by setting a password. Only you will be able to see your novels and chapters.
- Automatic Backups - Things happen, but don't let that destroy all your hard work. With this setting, a backup file of your work is automatically created every day.
- Simple and intuitive user interface - Creating a new novel is extremely easy. Click the New Novel button and you're ready to go.
- Supports an unlimited number of novels and chapters. The sky's the limit!
